Pastor William Davenport

Minister William Davenport has served as the pastor ofCorinth Missionary Baptist Church (CMBC),  Social Circle, GA since December, 1984.  CMBC is affectionately known as the “City of Faith” of which Pastor Davenport is the visionary.  His personal testimony is “Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchmen waketh but in vain.” (Psalm 127:1).  

Under Min. Davenport’s pastorate the following ministries have been implemented:

The present edifice was also built under his pastorate.  Plans are currently being made for a gym/fellowship hall.  Future plans include an administrative building, education facility, TV studio, etc. 

Pastor Davenport’s education consists of: High School diploma --East Atlanta High School; B.S. degree (Electronic Engineering)--Fort Valley State University; Certificate in Biblical Studies --Ambassador Bible College; Graduate Studies in Religion--Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA); and currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry (D. Min.) in Pastoral Counseling-- Andersonville Theological Seminary (Camilla, GA).  Pastor Davenport works professionally as an area manager for the Georgia Power Company (GPC).
