Hospital: For
members who are in nursing homes, hospitalized, or home bound. The
word
of God is taken to them. “If any is sick among you? Let him call
for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him
with oil in the name of the Lord.” (James 5:14)
Prison: For those who are incarcerated. “… I was in prison,
and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer, saying, Lord…,
when saw we thee sick or in prison, and came unto thee… In as much
as ye have done it unto one of the least of these brethren, ye have done
it unto me.” Minister Randall Smith is the coordinator.
PAAD
(Partnership Against Alcohol and Drugs): To counsel those who
have had substance abuse. “I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies
of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable
unto God, which is your reasonable service.” (Romans 12:1) Deacon
Osie and Signora Jackson are the coordinators.
Home: For those who are unable to attend regular service. By request,
members will come and conduct service in the home. Minister John
Dennis is the
coordinator.
Soul
Winning / Evangelism: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and,
lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” (Matthew
28:19-20) The mission of the church is the mission of Christ. Minister
Willie Ivey is the coordinator.
Nursing Home: For elderly community members who can not attend
regular church service. We take the church to them. The choirs
sing and ministers
preach. We celebrate Christ and their senior years. Minister
Willie Ivey is the coordinator.
Intercessory
Prayer: For those who need an intercessor. “…but
the Spirit itself make intercession for us with groaning which cannot be
uttered. And he that search the hearts know what is the mind of the spirit,
because he make intercession for the saints according to the will of God.” (Romans
8:26-27) Deacon’s Joe Baker and Albert Bolden Sr. are the coordinators. |
