First Lady Constance Davenport
Min. Constance Davenport is the wife of Minister William Davenport, Pastor of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church (CMBC), Social Circle, GA. They have been married for more than 30 years. They are the proud parents of four children: Nikkita, Dwann, Jourard, and Arielle; parents- in-law to Michael Warfield and grandparents of Morgan Aniya Warfield (Nikki). Min. Constance Davenport (Lady “D”) serves as the Director of Christian Education at CMBC where she develops curricula and provides teacher training. She also serves as the editor of Voices of Faith (CMBC newsletter), advisor to mentors of the Young Ladies of Distinction (YLOD), and is actively involved in Music Ministry. She sings, plays the organ, and writes songs. Six of her songs have been published on music CD’s, “Diversified Praise” by Voices of Worship (5) and “Beyond Our Borders” by the Interdenominational Mass Choir (1). She established the original “Praise Team” and “Teen Praize” (Divine Praize) and co-established “Young People of Praise” (YPP) and “Voices of Worship” (VOW). Lady Davenport’s major focus is education. Her education consists of: High School Diploma-East Atlanta High School, B.S degree (Psychology/Biology)--Georgia State University; M.A. degree (Adult Education)--Central Michigan University; Biblical studies at Luther Rice Seminary (Lithonia, GA); and currently she is pursuing a Specialist degree (Ed. S.) in Educational Administration at Central Michigan and a Doctorate of Ministry (D. Min.) in Pastoral Counseling at Andersonville Theological Seminary (Camilla, GA). Lady Davenport worked professionally as a middle grades “gifted” science teacher for the DeKalb County School System. She is currently retired and seeking credentials to establish a Bible College at CMBC. Her motto is, “You are never too old to learn and it’s never too late to start!” Her favorite scriptures include Philippians 4:12 &13 (KJV), “I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
